Children's Bay Woolshed

The Children's Bay farms original woolshed has been upgraded to provide more comfortable

amenities for the farm workers.  The woolshed is no longer used for shearing sheep (with the

property converted to angus beef), but the buildings other purposes of shelter and sustenance for

the farm workers and owners have been improved dramatically.

The renovation evolved as the construction progressed, with owners and builders as much a part

of the design team as us.  Original features such as the brick floor in the stables, once uncovered,

were used throughout.  Borer riddled timber was replaced with structural timber of a similar age.

Weatherboards were milled to match the original sizes and detail.  Roofing was reused in the

kitchenette and fireplaces.

The historic woolshed is ready to start the next chapter of its life.
